The 14U Bowie Bulldogs is fortunate to have a dedicated group of coaches with extensive baseball and coaching experience. Coaches are selected through a competitive process to ensure that only the most qualified individuals become Bowie Bulldogs coaches. These volunteers make a year-round commitment to develop players into the best individuals and baseball players they can be. 

Our coaching staff regularly attend camps and clinics for continuing education in baseball fundamentals, mechanics, drills and theory.

Head Coach – Duane Washington

  • Coach with Bowie Baseball for over 10 years
  • Played at Crossland High School, graduated in 1995
  • Three-sport star in football, baseball, and track at Crossland High School
  • 2 Years starter in football at Frostburg State University
  • Graduated with a B.S. and M.B.A from Frostburg State University
  • Worked at Sports Management Group Worldwide as a sports agent 

Asst. Coach LaNile Dalcour

  • Coach with Bowie Baseball for over 5 years
  • 2 Years team manager for Clarke University Baseball Program
  • 15 year senior delegate with Special Olympics Summer Games
  • Owner and founder of Dalcour Enterprises

OUR INSTRUCTORS

Our coaches draw upon their network of collegiate and professional coaches to develop the best game plan and drills to help the player reach their individual goals.  We are partnering with the following dedicated instructors to deliver private lessons for the team:

John Dopson

  • Former Starting Pitcher with the Montreal Expos, Boston Redsox and California Angels
  • 8 year MLB career

Donovan O’Dowd

  • Former coach at Lynn University
  • Current Northern Virginia region scout for the Baltimore Orioles

Glynn Davis

  • Signed with the Baltimore Orioles in 2010
  • Played with the Baltimore Orioles in the Minor Leagues for 7 years
  • Played at Double A Bowie Baysox for 3 years
  • Rated the best defensive outfielder in 2012 and fastest baserunner in 2010, 2011, and 2012

Lane Farmer

  • Played at 3 colleges throughout his collegiate baseball career: Davis and Elkins College (DII), Chesapeake CC (DI), and Frostburg State University (DIII). 
  • Selected as 1st Team All- Region and MVP of the Regional Championship. 
  • Worked at the Under Armour Performance Center in Baltimore, MD as a trainer specializing in athlete specific training with high school and collegiate athletes
